Alastair was commissioned by Yale University, New Haven, USA to paint the portrait of their Chief Investment Officer, David Swensen to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his employment. This commission developed into 2 paintings, one to be exhibited at Yale in Swensen House, and the other belongs to Hopkins School.
Mr Swensen also commissioned Alastair to paint a third, more personal portrait as a gift, for his wife, Meghan. Sadly, David passed away in 2021.
Alastair was commissioned again by Yale University in 2016 to paint Professor of Psychology, Marvin Chun, to celebrate his tenure as the Master of Berkeley College. Professor Chun has since taken on the role of Dean of Yale College.
