Stage
1 - Briefing
As
part of my service I offer an initial no obligation consultation
to interested parties.

initial consultation also serves to offer an insight into specific

at this stage the client wishes to proceed with a commission

Depending
upon the outcome of the first meeting I will either arrange a
return visit

selecting a few suitable compositions I visit or supply the sitter

Stage
2 - Sittings
Initially
the painting is drawn up from the working rough drawing

sittings are to be set in busy surroundings, a work place for

in Studio in the Interim

Time
between sittings back at the studio is very important to
me. Whilst working from and reviewing the continual stream
of reference gathered during the sittings,
I
find I can take an objective view of the sitters and the
work in progress. It allows me to reflect upon the many
potential nuances like lighting, movement and body language
that have emerged during the course of the sittings (see
opposite).

Once
I feel that I have produced a concise and finalised solution for
the painting
