  • Decide on the number of Sittings

If at this stage the client wishes to proceed with a commission and has a good idea of size and or budget I can usually give an indication as to the number of sittings required and the time span involved. Alternatively compositions can be tailored to suit a budget outlined from the outset.

Usually at this point it is customary to ask for an advance which, depending upon the value of the painting, is either 1/3 or 1/2 of the overall fee.
